Cafe Racer Ypsi Ton Up / Downriver cruise

Donito and myself met up to catch what was left of Cafe Racer's, Ton Up in Ypsilanti. What we saw was pretty cool. Typical Ducati and Thruxton's. I didn't get pics but there was a few cool and original Jap bikes.

It was about the time that the "pro" wrestling started that we decided to make our exit and head to the Down River cruise.

Ok, so one thing that I realized is that one place that isnt designed for people who have been in violent / back breaking collisions is a road of bumper to bumper traffic with high power machine revving and wildly burning out their machine to the point of losing control all while being feet from your rear wheel.

It was cool to see the cars though. A bit disappointed there were not more bikes out there but then again maybe they were smarter than me.

Hopefully I can make it out to Bike Days Wauseon on the 20th. Anyone want to meet up and ride out?

Till next time chumps.

Windy interstates = back roads

Cruised up to Ann Arbor for a bit and then hit up Cafe Racer Ypsi's bike night. It was a nice night for a ride and they were a few neat bikes out there. The coolest being an old flat head.

There seems to be a lot of OHP and MSP on the 23, 475 and 75 lately. Stay frosty with that speed out there.

Until next time folks!

Diggers Again Pig Roast

Rode with 90+ people I didn't know yesterday. Well I knew 3 of them but the point is, there was not one unfriendly person, no cold shoulders or attitudes.

I normally dont care to ride in large, groups. Partly due to how people ride in large groups. Partly to the fact there is some douchery involved in large groups. This was not the case. Everyone was there for the ride and fellowship. It was a great day and I enjoyed meeting all the people that came out.

I feel this is the way people should be on a daily basis. Not just on a bike run. Maybe everyone should ride on two wheels?

This guy was road captain on the way back from Clam Diggers in Monroe MI. That didn't last to long though.

Waiting for the trailer as this old Shovel lost oil pressure and gave those behind a nice fossil fuel bath.

My old four banger ran like a top.

Brandon finished up the day bummed out the old shovel needs a rebuild. Hopefully it's just the oil pump.

Detroit Homicide.

The end to a great day.

Nice day to ride.

I made my first little round this afternoon and after getting around the lakes took the back roads back to Ottawa Lake. Stopped into see a buddy and ended up with this for the day troubles! Never a bad day to ride. EVER.

Been a minute

Old Bike "el Bastard"
It has been one hell of a long minute. Well two years to be exact since I was hit and broke my back and beautiful, beautiful bitch bike was nothing more than parts and memories. Well as of Thursday I am back.

Current build 91' FXRT cut down and rolling my TP107" out of the bastard.
Been working on an FXR but as any of you who have full time jobs that does not include being in a garage all day can attest; it's a bitch trying to finish a bike with very little time available. Add to that kids and freelance work, well you get the picture. I am just a lazy bastard.

I did buy a KZ1000 do bomb around on but honestly it turned into another project. I really really really didnt want another project. I wanted to get on a bike and go. For cheap.

What has new morphed into a KZ Cafe Project
Then Fab Kevin hits me up with an email telling me he has just picked up two nice Suzuki's and the gears began to turn on a deal.

Needless to say I am back in the saddle again. I am putting on some miles tomorrow around the Irish Hills. If you see me bombing the around please duck because hard ons will be had. It's been two years.

Very excited to be back, even more excited to be contributing.

Rack 'Em Up!

I've put 6700 miles on this bike in 3 months, and I've taken 1000's of photos along the way. I need to work on getting some of them up here.

If the worst should happen...

And you find yourself in need of a personal injury lawyer because of some texting retard has just run you and your chop over contact, Chad Tuschman @ William, De Clark and Tuschman. http://www.wdtlaw.org/

I was hit in late March right in front of my own house after work one day and I had no idea how to go about this whole process. Chad was a killer lawyer who did more than I could have asked to help me and my family out.

It sucks to have to even think about but it's a reality any time you jump on your bike.

I was just cleared to not have to wear my turtle shell brace and am still waiting to settle on the price of my "total loss" bike.

My accident happened in Ohio, Sylvania to be precise but he practices in Michigan as well.

Nobodys posted in awhile.

I know it's not street bikes, but a few of us rode the Gladwin
loops last sunday.

The weather was great, trails were kinda dusty, but I think
everyone had a pretty good time. If you are interested these
trails exit 190 of of I-75. Turn left for four or five miles until
you see the trailhead.

Cafe Racer Ypsi.

One of my favorite places to stop when I'm out riding in the Ann Arbor/Ypsi area. Parts, service, and a mean cup of coffee. Located in Ypsi's historic Depot Town. Bike nights every tuesday during the riding months. Movie night every tuesday during the off season.

Highlights from the International Motorcycle Show

I know I have been posting a lot lately but I am just so damn
ready to get back on the bike!
This past weekend was the International Motorcycle Show at
the Rock Financial Showplace in Novi, MI. We couldn't ride
there like we did last year because it was -11F and snowy as
hell. Anyways the show was cut back this year with many big
names missing out on the fun. KTM, Aprilia, BMW, and
Victory did not make the show. However, Harley-Davidson
had one of the biggest showings I had ever seen. Ducati had
an amazing spread as well, with a stunt show and Nicky
Hayden's new ride. A company called SuckerPunch Sally's
had maybe the best booth set up. They had a ton of custom
built bobbers that kept ya wishin' ya had more money to spend.
Met a ton of cool people, talked about riding, on and off road,
and did a little bit of drooling. Not a bad way to spend a Sunday
afternoon.

This is Valentino Rossi's bike, you can buy one of your
very own for $21,900.

This was a cool little BMW chop. The owner said that it
was "fast as hell and equally unreliable". He let me sit on
it. hehe

This was a SuckerPunch Sally cafe racer. It was
coooool.

Nicky Hayden's new ride for the 2010 Moto GP season.
It looks scary and awesome and stupid fast. Maybe he'll
do a little better this year?

This is the bike I'm trying to purchase. I literally want
this bike, the show model, not the production one, but
they won't sell it to me. It's got a 103"S&S Shovelhead
motor, baker trans, hardtail frame, open primary,
electric and kick start....pure awesomeness.

I wanna ride!!!!
